Feb. 16, 2011 - PRLog -- Lou Pearlman, the man behind mega groups such as Nsync and Backstreet Boys, has handed over the reigns to someone else to create new pop super groups while he fights to be released from prison due to post conviction evidence found in his case, one such being the recent plea deals and sentencing of 4 former associates who all testified in federal court in 2007 that the music mogul was the only one responsible for millions of dollars missing.

Emily Dorsett, friend and associate of Pearlman's, with her own experiences of owning her own boy bands in 2006, is excited about the prospects of finding the next Nsync or Backstreet Boys, which combined has sold over 100 million albums.
Many groups have come and gone, trying to find the world wide success Lou's former groups have found. But none of them have reached that pinnacle of success.

Emily's plan for the group will be very similar to the Making The Band, the tv show that made boy band O-Town a household name.

The group will be housed, tutored, and spend many hours in the dance and recording studio.
With the current Backstreet Boys/NKOTB tour that is selling out, it's no surprise there is a calling to bring back the days where music was fun to listen to and teen idols made the girls swoon.

"Young girls need teen idols. There's nothing better than being able to see your favorite singer in concert, to buy everything that has his face on it. That's what I remember most about my teen years, and that's what I want to bring back to this younger generation. As Lou has said, as long as God keeps making little girls, there will always be boy bands..", she says

She says she is currently scouting talent online, and have found many talented hopefuls. "Yes, I've got my eye on some singers that will be a part of this group."

What is her advice for up and coming singers?
"They need to understand it's already very hard to get into the music business, but when you're a solo artist, it's even harder. It's a well known fact that it's better to be in a group first, because they're easier to market. So before you decide that you want to be a singer in the business, do your homework. Find out how the industry works. They don't call it the music business for nothing."

She also states that there are a lot of singers out there trying to be the next Justin Bieber. "I've seen a lot of kids dressing like him, do their hair like his, singing his songs, thinking that's how they're going to be noticed. But what they don't realize is that Justin is still out there, saturating the market, so there is no calling for another one. The labels won't be interested because they would say 'there's already a Justin Bieber out there'. But just imagine if there were 5 Justin Biebers in a group like Nsync? Now that would get someone's attention."

"Always have an open mind, because if you go into this with a closed one, you could miss out on some amazing opportunities."
