As soon as girls start making friends, their emotionally charged wiring can result in emotional bullying,” said Jane Balvanz, an elementary school counselor and co-founder of A Way Through, LLC. “Fortunately, girls this age and in kindergarten through grade 2 are very open to adult guidance, so it’s a great time to share the tools and techniques they need to work through their own issues.”
