Be Wary Of............

Standout Stat: All 38 of his runner carrying 13lbs or more than the bottom weight in the race have been beaten – while only 5 were placed!

1. All 5 of his recent bumper runners have been beaten
2. All 13 of his horses aged 10 or older have been beaten (just 1 placed), not good news for Kauto Star (11) or Denman (11) fans.
3. The yard have had only 2 festival winners from 42 runners aged 8 or older
4. The opening day of the festival has not been a good day for the Dicheat handler – they’ve only recorded 1 win from his 35 Tuesday runners.
5. Races over 3m4f or further are worth avoiding – he’s yet to have a winner over the longer trips from 12 runners.
6. Stay clear of his longer-priced runners. All 31 of his runners priced 28/1 or bigger have been beaten – just 1 winner from 67 qualifiers returned 16/1 or bigger.
7. If the yard books Christian Williams take note – the jockey has had 14 rides for Nicholls since 2006 and is yet to even hit the frame
8.  He’s had just one winner from 45 runners that finished out of the top four in their previous race.
9. All 20 runners ridden by a claiming jockey have been beaten
10. Runners coming here off a 91+ day break are best avoided – All 13 that have tried have been beaten.
11. All 23 of his runners that ran in Class 2 races have lost.

Make a note of..........

1. From his 140 runners over the last 5 years, they ALL came in Class 1 contests.
2. 16 of the 17 winners ran their previous race between 20-90 days ago.
3. 16 of his 17 winners were either 1st or 2nd favourite in their last race
4. A massive 14 of his 17 winners won their last race
5. Keep his 4 & 5 year-olds on your side – they’ve won 7 times from 46 qualifiers.
6. Ruby Walsh has ridden 13 of Nicholls’ 17 recent festival winners (from 61 rides).
7. Stay clear of Nicholls/Walsh’s handicap chase runners – all 18 have been beaten
