May 5, 2011 - PRLog -- Maybe you have just finished your driving lessons in York and are now searching for your first car. When buying your first car it’s extremely handy to have as much guidance as possible because looks can be very deceiving. You should never just jump in and buy the first car you see, you will end up regretting it. We are here to give you this advice in 6 easy memorable Just tips:

Just Tips 1
Save your money: If you are a big spender and not a very good saver then that needs to change when buying your first car. In order to get a nice car you need a bit more money in your back pocket.

Just Tips 2
Think about what you want: There’s a lot of different choices of cars and you need to find what suits you the best. Consider the power of the car and how expensive it would be to insure. The first time buyer always thinks by what they see and not what they can afford. You need to remember that you need money in order to run the car and if you can afford to ensure it every year.

Just Tips 3
Forget the modifications: Buying a car that is not well looked after but has the best modifications is not the best idea. You would be better off spending your money on a car that is a basic model with not as many miles on the clock and is younger. You will find that usually the older the car and the more miles it has the more problems you will encounter with it!

Just Tips 4
Ask questions and look in detail:  Don’t be scared to ask the seller questions about the cars history. For example has it been in any accidents and/or repaired? Don’t be shy they are there to ask. Other questions that you may want to ask are does it have a service history? Ask to see the logbook, how many previous owners has the car had? These are all questions you should be asking when viewing a car. Also ask the main use of the car, this is so you can know what sort of things it may have been through.

Just Tips 5
Things to keep your eyes open for: When looking at a car make sure you are very aware of the condition of the car. Look at the clock and see what the mileage is. Ask yourself is it suitable for the age of the car? The clock may have been turned back. Other things to look for are anything that looks like it has been repaired or any bumps in the car, or if it is well looked after. If the car is dirty then this is not a good sign that it has been looked after.

Just Tips 6
Getting your vehicle on the road! Remember to shop around for the best car insurance and to remember that the best isn’t always the cheapest. Make sure you shop around and find the best deal for you.
So these are Just Driving’s top 6 tips, I hope they have helped you and given you a good idea for general things to look for when buying your first car. Remember you have all the time in the world to find a car, so don’t just jump in and buy the first car you see.
Congratulations on getting through your driving lessons and hope you get your wheels.
