Working From Home Brings Out The Best In People

When regular employees, who work the usual grind in a convetional office setting, are allowed to finish their tasks at home - more actually get done in record time. While working the old 9-to-5 just leads to time being unproductively wasted.

Feb. 13, 2011 - PRLog -- Businesses who allow their workers to finish their jobs for the week at home are more likely to get better results as opposed to keeping them in their cubicles. Findings show that employees who work at the office need to keep appearances, regardless if work gets completed efficiently or not. On the otherhand, workers who can work at home have more freedom to mix up more important home matters and still efficiently complete their jobs.

Based on a research done by University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, “Employees who telecommute the majority of the work week are more satisfied with their jobs compared to those working mostly in the office because working remotely alleviates more stress than it creates.”

Even though the amount of unproductivity is about the same at home or the office, working from home allows employees to put their time to better use. They can do their laundry, cook dinner and be with their family while still able to finish their jobs. They don't have to waste time in the office doing mundane things like; gossiping with their co-workers or surfing the Internet.

With working from home, employees become more satisfied with their jobs because they are far away from stress and distractions like office gossip and politics. They can get on with their work on their own time without getting bombarded with unnecessary meetings and other interruptions.
