Feb. 9, 2011 - PRLog -- In March 2011, SAL will put the second Type 183 into service. The vessel is already under construction at the Sietas shipyard in Hamburg. This innovative ship type will be the second heavy lift vessel in the market featuring 2 x 1,000 mtons SWL cranes while maintaining a high speed of 20 knots.

The second SAL new building will be equipped with a Dynamic Positioning II System (DP 2). The dynamic positioning II feature will allow customers to use these vessels as a combined solution for both transport and off-shore installation including sub-sea handshakes.
