By: A & R Select Shari Ulrich is a native of San Rafael, California who moved to Canada in the early 70’s. She is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, television composer, host and actor. Even with her numerous accomplishments, she continues to amaze and astound her audience with her many talents. Her music is clever, relevant and entertaining. Her newest venture is a new CD titled “Find Our Way” which is her 7th solo album and her 19th including her work with Pied Pumkin, UHF (Ulrich Henderson Forbes), and Bentall, Taylor & Ulrich. Her lead single “Why Can’t We Get Along” introduces us to yet another layer of her talent and skill. “It’s a foray into pondering what makes man hunger for power and greed to the point of investing resources and lives into waging war. I can’t help but distill it down to the question… Why can’t we just get along and take care of ourselves and each other instead?” The sound is country, the story is told with intense interest and emotion. Her vocals are fabulous; the harmonies are perfectly placed. This song has a tough exterior that creates the mood and keeps that interest right until the end. It has a funky irresistible beat and is beautifully arranged and delivered. Her accomplishments are many.
