Xiren to play at TEDxMileHigh – April 7, 2011

Feb. 8, 2011 - PRLog -- DENVER, CO. (February 1st, 2011) – TEDxMileHigh announced today that Xiren, an internationally touring rock/pop artist, will perform at TEDxMileHigh. The independently produced event, operated under license from TED, will take place on April 7, 2011 at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House in Denver, CO, and aims to elevate ideas and energize action.
Xiren has been described as “Probably the Best Male Vocalist in Colorado…fantastic” by Denver columnist Jedi Bongo. Xiren’s latest album, TRIP-R, was inspired by a trip to India that was followed by a coast-to-coast US tour. By hauling portable recording equipment throughout India and on the bus across the US, Xiren was able to capture the love, grief, rage, sensuality and hope from those experiences and translate them into a musical expression. TRIP-R is resonating with listeners. The first single, “Ship of Fools”, held for 6 weeks in the Top 10 on US radio (fmqb.com/Modern AC) against major label artists.  He has been named Top 10 Best Underground Bands by The Denver Post and Best Rock/Pop Artist by Westword Music Showcase.
