FDC Helps the Green Economy Grow

Feb. 7, 2011 - PRLog -- Leicestershire’s full service design agency FDC has been helping the green economy with the launch of a brand new website for client Sustainable Prospects.

Sustainable Prospects is a green business focused on recruiting new talent in a wide range of environmental positions, including consultants and advisors, technical specialists, and professionals from every management discipline.

They have an in-depth knowledge of environmental legislation and policy, developments in alternative energy and clean technology, changing approaches to carbon management in the built environment and new techniques for natural resource protection.

Sustainable Prospects approached FDC in November 2010 with the need for a company re-brand, including a new website concept, company logo and stationery design from scratch.

Nick Prince, FDC’s Creative Designer, worked closely with Sustainable Prospects through every step of the process: “We started off with the brand, which needed to be aimed at professionals in the environmental industry so it needed to reflect that.

“It needed to have a modern slant with a classical twist so we used quite a traditional type of font and a cool little icon which gave it that modern twist. Philippa [Corr, of Sustainable Prospects] had put some ideas across of how she wanted it: quite clear, and quite white, which is what we did.

“It’s all constructed to be managed and edited easily, and we put a cool little JavaScript animated menu on it. It gives a bit more depth to the site. The brief was to keep it clear and concise and that’s what we did with it. So the text is really easy to read and we used some modern imagery.”

The website launched on January 26, 2011, and the result is a crisp, bright, refreshing and easy-to-navigate website with a green twist to reflect its organic ethos.
