Jan. 31, 2011 - PRLog -- Organizations in today's economy consistently find themselves facing down time constraints and oppressive busy workloads.  While organizations could use additional human resources to take on projects such as technology implementation, business administration or accounting and payroll duties, hiring full time staff to do so can often be problematic.  Student interns can prove to be a valuable asset to a company helping with time sensitive projects, intern supporting organizations moving forward in their business goals.

The four keys to student internship success:

Student interns are dedicated and motivated to show employers, what they have to offer, wanting to impress them with their skills, work ethic and talent.  An organization will definitely appreciate the extra help around the office.  Student interns can help provide great business value as part of an organization and are eager to work.  How employers benefit from an intern and how much responsibility is offered is really up to the unique needs of the business.  Internships or co-ops are an essential part of College programs, because in today’s work force, simply having a diploma is not enough.

The recession of 2008 has not only caused hardship for many businesses, it has also made today’s job market extremely competitive for new grads.  Students are not only competing with fellow graduates, but also with recently laid off experienced workers.  Having a valuable working experience, in an internship, is critical.

As an employer, hosting an internship is a fulfilling experience.  For employers that have been interns themselves, hosting an intern is a good way to give back to the next group of future leaders in Ontario.  Employers have the opportunity to work with highly educated and skilled individuals, at no cost.  Having a student contribute to the daily routine within a workplace can provide a fresh perspective about the organization's present challenges, leading to new ideas and creative solutions.

An organizations workforce can be shaped today but having an intern program in place.  In some cases an internship can run from a couple of weeks to a couple of months, giving the employer an opportunity to teach a student about the company’s values and operating processes.  Organizations can instil competitiveness in their respective organization for years to come, in a fluid and cost effective manner.  triOS College at present have a number of motivated, trainable interns who are dedicated at working hard for their new sponsors.
