| With 27 Sales, Carlsbad Master-Planned Community The Foothills a Top-SellerSales are hot at The Foothills master-planned community in Carlsbad, with more than 27 new homes sold in recent months.
Including sales from fourth quarter 2010, 11 homes have sold at Alcéa by D.R. Horton and 16 homes have sold at Rockrose by Brookfield Homes. Blossom Grove at The Foothills by William Lyon Homes was the top-selling new-home neighborhood in Carlsbad for the third quarter 2010. Homes at The Foothills community offer outstanding value, with prices starting from the high $400,000s and recently reduced tax rates that are among the lowest in new-home neighborhoods in Carlsbad, averaging 1.3 percent.
