Communications International, Inc. Wins Contract to Implement City of New Bern, NC P25 Radio Network

Communications International, Inc. (“CII”), a leading Systems Integrator of wireless voice, data and network technologies was awarded the contract for the City of New Bern’s new Digital P25 Public Safety Radio Network. The City unanimously chose CII to implement a turnkey simulcast 800MHz P25 radio system, which will provide radio communications for the City of New Bern’s First Responders, including the New Bern Police Department and the New Bern Fire Department.  

Slated for completion in mid 2012, the digital radio network will be compatible with other public safety radio systems in North Carolina. Utilizing Harris 800MHz P25 standards technology, CII will provide New Bern’s users with enhanced radio coverage, new safety features and enable interoperable communications with First Responders across the entire state. CII President, Mark Feurer commented, “It is our privilege to serve the City of New Bern and provide its officers, firefighters and critical users with the communication tools they need to communicate reliably during normal operations and emergencies.”
