"Restoring Health and Hope in Haiti"

Jan. 25, 2011 - PRLog -- Stamford, CT – Christoph Gorder, Senior Vice President of Operations at AmeriCares, will speak on RESTORING HEALTH AND HOPE IN HAITI at a World Affairs Forum program on February 16 at UCONN/Stamford. The program starts at a NEW TIME, 5:45 P.M., with networking and refreshments, followed by the presentation at 6:15 P.M.

Since its founding in 1982, AmeriCares has delivered nearly $9 billion in aide to 149 countries.  It has become the leading nongovernmental humanitarian aid organization for delivering donated medicines and supplies.  Curt Welling is well qualified to speak on this topic as he directed AmeriCares relief efforts for several large-scale disasters, including the recent earthquake in Haiti, as well as Cyclone Nargis in Myanmar, the 7.9-magnitude earthquake in China’s Sichuan Province, the Southeast Asian tsunami, and Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in the U.S.
