Jan. 20, 2011 - PRLog -- Trampolines are interesting things. Whether you use them for exercising or for pure entertainment, there is always a fun element in bouncing around on one. For one thing, it is never boring. Place it outside in your sunny background and you'll have dozens of things to look at while using it. However, trampolines, like many contraptions, can become faulty after years of use, and as such, it is always handy to know the different trampoline parts in case you need to have it repaired.

To make things easier for trampoline owners who have yet to figure out which part is which, this is a primer on the most basic and essential parts of a trampoline. Read through it and take note of how each is important to the overall purpose of  the trampoline. If any emergency occurs, you may be able to pinpoint the problem, making your trip to the service repair center much easier and more hassle-free.

The frame is the very foundation of each and every trampoline. Consisting of both the horizontal and vertical legs, as well as the top rail, the frame is responsible for keeping the trampoline upright. Once this foundation becomes weak or rusty, you run the risk of the entire structure breaking down under the weight of anyone who uses it. This is dangerous and would need immediate repair once detected.

You also have your springs, which can vary in length; however, the better-performing springs are those that are generally longer. The most popular form is the steel extension spring, but some other brands create their trampolines with electric straps, or even fiberglass rods.

There's also the bed, which is one of the most frequently used trampoline parts. Created with polypropylene fabric, this is the source of joy for its users. Beds vary in quality, and this is how a great trampoline stands out from the rest. An ideal bed should feel smooth under your feet and never hard to jump on.

Finally, spring pads make up the most basic of parts of the trampoline. This is the safety feature that must be present in a top-quality trampoline, as this serves to protect the user from accidentally injured by falling through springs or hitting the frame, the impact of which can seriously injure the feet. Made of foam, these also need to be sun-protected so that they
don't heat up as easily.
