Bio*Green announces relief for Florida's new septic law in effect 1/11/2011

Jan. 11, 2011 - PRLog -- Distraught homeowners across Florida are venting their anger for the new septic law out on the Florida department of health and other officials.
The new law which goes into effect January 11,2011 requires homeowners operating on a septic system to have their system pumped and inspected every 5 years regardless of condition. If the system isn't operating up to expectations they will be required to foot the bill for a new drainfield.
Pump outs and inspections alone are expected to range between $400-$500. New drainfields could easily reach $3,000-$7,000. Alot of money which people don't have readily available in this economy.
The law is mandatory and not complying means a fine of $500 each day for non compliance and a possible misdemeanor charge which carries up to a year in jail.
Although it doesn't sound much like democracy that is now the law of the land in Florida.
