Jan. 10, 2011 - PRLog -- Brevard county residents interested in catching more fish this year might consider enrolling in a new class called Fundamentals of Flats Fishing. Held at the Titusville campus of Brevard Community College, the class begins at 6 PM on Thursday February 3 and runs for five weeks.

Instructor John Kumiski says, "I designed this course with the express purpose of helping my students catch more and bigger fish. During the five week course we cover fishing techniques, flats tackle, boats, wading, choosing and using lures and baits, fish fighting techniques, etiquette, and more. I have an FWC officer as a guest speaker so students can learn the latest about fisheries laws and law enforcement. And of course we discuss locations to fish in the Indian River Lagoon system."

Registration is on-line. Go to this link: https://web21.brevard.cc.fl.us/bte/schedule/search_results.cfm  to register. The cost of the class is $90.00.
