CodecDictionary launched its service (http://codecdictionary.com) of social dictionary for multimedia developers.

CodecDictionary aims at creating a dictionary for multimedia developers where all the definitions are under 300 characters. The dictionary enables the users to quickly search and refer to the definitions the relevant community has submitted. For copy/pasting definitions from other sites is prevented by allowing the user to add references while adding new definition. User and community search history (unlike any other search site) keep the visitors involved. Its in beta and development can be tracked on twitter @codecdictionary
