   The Employee Benefits Research Institute says parents have the wrong idea about how much their children know about their finances. 63 percent of parents think their children know, but only 42 percent of children said they have a good understanding of their parents finances. After my grandfather died, when I started to work with my grandmother I very quickly realized she didn't have any idea about her own finances  She had $77,000.00 in a non interest bearing checking account and didn't know how to write a check.
   With so much information available and so many decisions to make, it can be overwhelming. My new website aims to cut through a lot of the clutter and deliver targeted, actionable information children can use to save time, make better choices, and have less stress. Helping our parents or grandparents  can be a very rewarding journey, both financially and emotionally.  Knowing that things are taken care of, better decisions can be made regarding whether or not an elderly person can take care of themselves or not.  The best answer is staying in "Their Own Home".  Isn't that  what we all would want for ourselves.?!!
   Having worked extensively with both of my grandmothers, has given me a wide array of  personal experiences, including over 25 years as a charge nurse in the nursing home.   By reviewing my guides I will make  your journey with the elderly aging vs.money less stressful,  more rewarding, and more money for the journey.
