Mobile Computer with UHF Gen2 RFID Reader/Writer

Jan. 7, 2011 - PRLog -- Toronto, Canada - GAO RFID Inc. (www.GAORFID.com) has released its UHF Gen2 RFID reader/writer which is specially designed for applications in access control, asset tracking, warehouse management and livestock tracking.
This portable RFID reader/writer, model 246003, provides barcode reading capability. It is equipped with a high resolution TFT color LCD screen, a full alphanumeric software keyboard barcode scanner and a RH767 rugged mobile computer. It offers a maximum read distance of 1.8m and a data transfer rate of up to 640kbps The reader employs an anti-collision algorithm in order to simultaneously read a large number of tags. The RFID reader/writer is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery via 12V DC external adapter and operates continuously for up to 12 hours. In addition, the read/write unit offers two optional 64MB memory expansions of both SDRAM and flash ROM.
