Jan. 3, 2011 - PRLog -- Anderson, SC – January 3, 2011 – Guard-A-Kid  has begun offering its services throughout Anderson County as of January 1, 2011 providing its Child ID package and safety presentation service free to area schools, day cares, churches, communities, businesses, and other venues seeking to help protect children and parent’s peace of mind.

Todd Cromer, owner of Guard-A-Kid Anderson and safety specialist, says that it is critical for parents to have updated and readily available ID information on their children to pass along to law enforcement in the event of an emergency. According to The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, a child is reported missing every 40 seconds. Odds are 1 in 42 that a child will be reported missing at some point. The first three hours are crucial for the safe return of a child. But it takes more than two hours on average to gather information from an unprepared and panicked parent. Cromer says that Guard-A-Kid Anderson offers two essential services to help keep children safe and give parents peace of mind.

First, Guard-A-Kid Anderson offers a complete Child ID package to parents at an affordable price. The kit contains a CD-ROM with all the ID information in electronic form, including photograph and all ten fingerprints, a file-size ID, two wallet IDs, and Mobile Child ID for parent’s phones. This kit provides the fastest way possible to pass along accurate identifying information.

Second, Guard-A-Kid Anderson offers to conduct a free personal safety presentation specifically designed for children. The engaging and educational presentation was developed in conjunction with John Walsh of America’s Most Wanted and Julie Clark of Baby Einstein.  Cromer says this is a proactive approach to keeping kids safe.  He says that to identify a kid is good, but to guard a kid is better.

Cromer also says that Guard-A-Kid Anderson encourages requests from area schools, day cares, churches, communities, businesses, and other venues who believe that child safety should be a priority and would be willing to host a Child Safety event at no cost to them.
