HSS Launches Radio Program

Dec. 29, 2010 - PRLog -- Bruce A. Hurwitz, Ph.D., president and CEO of Hurwitz Strategic Staffing, Ltd., has announced a new venture, Bruce Hurwitz Presents, a half-hour live call-in radio program on BlogTalkRadio.com.

Hurwitz, a nationally and internationally recognized authority on recruitment and career development, will be the show's host.  "I will interview professionals about their jobs, careers, professions, specific projects on which they are presently working, as well as any employment opportunities which they may have available," Hurwitz said.  "Additionally, some shows will be dedicated to small business owners. The object of the program is to provide practical, actionable and useful advice to job seekers and entrepreneurs."

Already scheduled are:

January 4 - 10:00 AM - Interviewing Secrets. Barry Cohen, an internationally certified counseling practitioner, resume writer and job coach in Manhattan. He is the author of Power Interviewing: How to Get the Job  You Really Want. He lecturers at the 92nd Street Y, The Learning Annex and at national colleges. Mr. Cohen will provide insights into successful job interviewing

January 7 - 2:00 PM - Tips for Networking Success. Anthony Kazazis, Director of the NYC Network Group/NYC Real Estate Expo will be offering advice on how to successfully network . Mr. Kazazis is Vice President of Sales of ARS Abstract, a full-service title insurance company in Rye, New York.

January 11 - 11:30 AM - Tuition Free Training.  James Loriega, Director of the Institute of Mechanics and Tradesmen in New York City. He will be discussing educational opportunities for individual looking to enhance their employment opportunities by furthering their studies and learning new skills.

January 12 - 12:00 PM - Sales! Sales! Sales! Ron Lanzo, Commercial Account Executive for Metro-New York at AFR Furniture Rental, Inc. Ron has over 40 years sales experience and will share with us his experiences and insights about the sales profession.

January 19 - 12:00 PM - Transition of Veterans into Academia and the Civilian Work Force. A.J. Luna, Director of Veterans Services at Fairleigh Dickinson University, in Teaneck, New Jersey. A.J. served for seven years in the US Army and US Army National Guard and has been with the University since 2009. He was a major advocate for the G.I. Bill.

January 24 - 1:00 PM  - LinkedIn For Job Seekers. Marc Halpert, Linked Trainer and Evangelist, will be providing tips and insights on how to use LinkedIn to turbocharge your job search.

February 3 - 2:00 PM - The Economy and Commercial Real Estate.  David Llynn, managing director at ING Real Estate Investment Management, will provide insights into economic trends especially pertaining to commercial real estate.

February 8 - 11:30 AM - Presentation Skills for the Job Seeker. Robyn Hatcher, founder of SpeakEtc, a creative communications consulting company.  She will provide insights and advice on non-verbal and verbal skills and content for the job seeker.

February 14 - 2:00 PM - Getting Found on the Internet. Joanie Sirefman, Internet Marketing Analyst  at AdzZoo, an Internet marketing company helping businesses connect with potential customers.  Joanie will share with us advice on how businesses can raise the Internet presence.

February 23 - 12:00 PM - Small Business and 2010 Taxes.  Robert J. Klausner, Principal at the New Jersey accounting firm of RK Associates, will be providing advice and insights for small business owners, and individuals, about 2010 tax laws.
