Dec. 29, 2010 - PRLog -- Taliban militants in northwest Pakistan attack two truckloads of supplies to NATO on Wednesday morning, killing one driver and wounding two others, officials said.

A half dozen militants armed with assault rifles in the attack Landikotal, a town in the Khyber tribal district in Pakistan’s border with Afghanistan, officials said.

The Pakistani authorities announced this month the U.S. drone attacks Khyber, the buzz the expansion of the secret program previously targeted only the commanders of Al-Qaeda and Taliban elsewhere in the tribal belt.

“Militants began firing from the top of the hill. One motorist was killed on the spot, while his assistant and the second pilot of the second truck were injured in a” local administration official Iqbal Khatak told AFP.

Intelligence officials said the militants fled after the attack and confirmed that trucks carrying goods for NATO troops in Afghanistan.
