Follow on Google News | In The Cheapest Price Ping G15 Iron setThe distance was good, nothing special he noted but the driver did excel ” a little bit ” in the area of workability when compared to other large sized big looking drivers that he has hit over the last year working with TSG
By: shoppinginjoy Aesthetics: 3/5 Points Not Pretty, I know this is sounding like a pretty negative review so far but lets face it Tatsuro hit’s the best clubs on earth, attached to the hottest shafts and very often clubs sent to him from Tour Van’s as he begins his quest for a spot on the JPGA tour. The G15 simply looked big to him, the shape was not even close to pear, and the face was sorta deep at it’s center yet near the toe and heel tapered off to an almost shallow effect. He warned that this is not a club for the traditionalist top level golfer who desires a deep face with pear shape view from above. First of all, the G15 is the most forgiving driver I have ever played. I have both the 10.5 degree (TFC 149 R shaft) and the 9 degree (Serrano R shaft). My swing speed is about 95. The 9 degree combo works really well for me as it has less spin than the 10.5 version. I have no problem getting the 9 degree in the air and the ball releases very well when it hits the ground. I seem to transmit power to the ball a bit better than with the 10.5 degree combo. I use the 10.5 degree on courses that are shorter and require more accuracy. It is so easy to hit I can practically just drop the ball out there where I choose. I fell in love with the G15 by hitting every driver at a huge outdoor demo show that I attended. I went back again and again and confirmed what I saw the previous times after hitting all the other drivers.Ping G15 Iron set had simply the most consistent and best results in terms of distance and accuracy. The impact sound is also just great. I never intended to become a “Ping man”, but it has just happened that way. The results for me are undeniable. Having bought a new set of i 15 irons as a retirement present (from me to me) I decided to see if the Ping driver could give me more than my current driver (a Benross Innovator X). After a custom fitting session where I tested a 10.5 and a 12 I decided to go with the 12 degree. I compared the Ping with another of my redundant drivers, a Macgregor Mactec NGV2 in 10.5. The Ping 10.5 was on average 14 yards longer than the Macgregor and had a tighter dispersion pattern. The 12 degree Ping was 10 yards longer than the Macgregor and had a tighter dispersion pattern than both the Macgregor or the 10.5 Ping G15 Fairway Wood . I used it for real at Formby Golf club on a windy cold day I hit 9 out of 14 fairways finding the dead centre 6 times. This is the most consistent I have ever been. I have no hesitation in recommending this driver in either loft. The 12 degree works best for me. After much success with Pings G10 I decided to buy PING G15 Driver . My G10 was 9 degrees but I found a G15 10.5 for cheap and went with it. The driver came with a Graffoly Prolaunch Red S. I have read a lot about this shaft and since my ball flight is high I thought it was a good fit on trying to flight it lower. This club is not near as long as my G10 9 Degree with the TFC 129 shaft. Feed back was minimal, severe loss of distance on off centered hits. Ping boosts that this club is suppose to be the answer for that. It was not for me. It is a great looking club and instills a lot of confidence at address. there is a noticeable difference in overall club size compared to the G10. I am not giving up on the G15 until I try a couple of more shafts in it. I would recommend it to anyone looking for the latest 460cc driver with a great look and feel at address.
