Speaking to ESPN, Lee Westwood said he is planning some changes to his Ping G15 Irons Set  in an attempt to turn his major fortunes around.

Despite reaching the No. 1 spot in the world rankings and finishing second in both the Masters and the Open in 2010, Westwood is yet to taste victory in the majors, and it's a failing he's very keen to correct.

"It is amazing," he said of taking over the world No. 1 spot. "Very few people get the chance to say they are the best in the world at anything. I tend to be a bit more aware that I am representing Ping G15 Irons Set  now.

"It is a spot that everybody wants. You are aware that everyone is trying that bit extra to beat you. But if you work hard at something and achieve your ultimate goal of being the best in the world, you have to enjoy it and revel in it."

As much as he wants that major victory, he doesn't subscribe to the opinion that his lack of one means he doesn't deserve to be considered the best in the world.

"Everybody is entitled to their opinions," he said. "The fact that their opinions are wrong does not matter too much. Ping G15 Irons Set is just one of those things. Not everyone is always going to be happy."

Nevertheless, Westwood is planning on making some changes in an effort to break his major duck in the coming year.
