Most exciting thing...

Dec. 16, 2010 - PRLog -- I rode a bike for 6 continuous months alone for charity.  I had to ask for whatever I wanted, give whatever was asked and accept what was offered as long.  I had no tent and I was not allowed to use my own funds for shelter, food, clothing or anything along the tour.  The motto was "The Tour Will Provide".  I wasn't allowed to purchase any spare tires or anything and just see how it went.

I met so many wonderful people along the way and at times I had to.  I was required to find someone new every day who felt comfortable allowing a stranger to sleep in their spare bed or on the couch.  One time I slept in the sleeper cab of a semi truck and only slept on the floor once.  Weather it was in checkout lines, helping someone on the side of the road, or sitting in Starbucks I was always able to find lodging by the end of the day.

People donated food, money, supplies (ie: tires, bikes, inner tubes, tools etc) and shelter and some companies (Wal-Mart, Best Buy and Sports Authority) elected to sponsor the tour.  I went through two pairs of shorts, two pair of shoes and 5 bikes, all of which were given by people I met.  I even got to meet 3 time NFL Prowbowl QB Jeff Garcia at a house party I was invited to by some nice people I met at a bar in Omaha.  

There are unique stories all along the tour and it all worked out perfectly.  People are so friendly, I trusted completely and I never went hungry.  It was all to deliver the message that Recovery is Now and that Anyone can recover from anything at any time as long as they just took action from a place of joy.
