Follow on Google News | Isaiah Sheffer Hosts Selected Shorts at Adelphi University With Jill Eikenberry and David RakoffThe award-winning WNYC public radio program, Selected Shorts, comes to the Performing Arts Center at Adelphi University for a fun filled night of live readings of classical and contemporary works by Joshua Ferris, Dorothy Parker, and more.
Jill Eikenberry won the Golden Globe for her role as Ann Kelsey on L.A. Law. She is also an Obie Award winner and five-time Emmy nominee. Ms. Eikenberry has appeared on Broadway, in film, and was featured on such TV hits as Law & Order, Numb3rs, and Judging Amy. David Rakoff is an openly gay actor, essayist, and journalist who has been a frequent contributor to PRI’s This American Life. In addition to appearing on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Mr. Rakoff is a prolific freelance writer and has been a regular contributor to Conde Nast Traveler, GQ, Outside Magazine, and The New York Times Magazine. His writings on a wide and eclectic range of topics have also appeared in Business 2.0, Harper's Bazaar, Slate, Spin, The New York Observer, Vogue, and Wired among other publications. Selected Shorts is an award-winning WNYC public radio program featuring the readings of spellbinding short stories by established and emerging writers hosted by Isaiah Sheffer.
