Gear Ties were invented by Dan Martinson, a rubber parts manufacturer from Minneapolis, MN who personally wanted a tool that was more than a twist tie, rope or bungee cord could provide. Twist ties are easily lost, broken, wear out quickly, and often aren’t the size that one needs. Rope isn’t flexible, doesn’t grip, and can cut into whatever is being secured. Bungee cords slip, flex, and can be dangerous. Gear Ties are the answer to all of these problems. They are offered in a large variety of colors and sizes to accommodate consumer’s needs. After months of design and development, Dan was confident that Gear Tie would fly when a friend offered ten bucks for a set when he was simply showing friends his invention.
