Israel plans to attack Iran’s nuclear sites: Terrorism authority Peter Probst assesses why and how

•   Israelis can expect to pay a heavy price for their pre-emptive strike but would prefer to take their losses up front.
•   A campaign of sabotage and covert action is already under way to cripple Iranian capabilities and keep the leadership off balance.
•   The failure of the U.S. to detect North Korean game-changing advances in its nuclear program has shaken Israeli’s confidence in the ability of the United States to provide early warning, thereby making an Israeli pre-emptive attack a virtual certainty.

Probst served at the CIA and the Office of the Secretary of Defense. In 1994, he co-authored Terror 2000, the landmark report for the Pentagon that predicted seven years before 9/11 that terrorists would use hijacked passenger aircraft to attack the Pentagon and the World Trade Center. Now a private consultant advising government and Fortune 100 firms on issues of terrorism, political warfare, and infrastructure vulnerability, Probst is frequently a featured speaker at business forums and international security conferences.
