IT Retail and Goodwin’s Organics to celebrate their 2 year Anniversary

Dec. 3, 2010 - PRLog -- Amidst the economic climate IT Retail and Goodwin’s Organics will celebrate their two year anniversary today.  Two years ago Goodwin’s Organics opened their doors for business; today they are the leader for organic food in the Inland Empire attributing much of their success to IT Retail, their
grocery store POS software provider. Bob Henry (CEO of IT Retail) and Martin Goodwin (Fonder of Goodwin’s organics) decided to join forces two years ago and provide an all organic grocery option in Riverside.  

It was through the implementation of IT Retail’s grocery POS software that enabled Martin to sort through and analyze sales data, analyze customer buying patterns, and ultimately target each customer individually. In a conversation with Mr. Goodwin he expressed his gratitude for IT Retail:

The idea for Goodwin’s Organics started four years ago when Mr. Goodwin noticed a huge void in the market for organic food. He perceived that consumers were becoming increasingly aware of what they were eating, yet the availability for buying good quality, healthy food was scarce. In the budding stages of health food trend Martin decided to put his knowledge of grocery to work and build an all organic health food store.

As Mr. Goodwin researched the different aspects of the health food industry he realized that there were no grocery stores that were “All Orgranic”. He saw past the health food stores, and natural markets, that marketed themselves as local health food providers. These stores used a flurry of terms such as antibiotic free, all natural, no hormones, locally grown, and organic, clumping all of these terms into the umbrella of healthy food.

He realized that they were taking advantage of the pure trend that he was trying to promote through his store. He decided to put his foot down and reinvent the health food industry by creating a store that had nothing but organic food. Thus the idea for Goodwin’s Organics was formulated, and in October of 2008 it was implemented.
