Montgomery County Hispanic Chamber to Announce New Chairman and Board Members

The Montgomery County Hispanic Chamber will formally announce Miguel Lopez as their newly elected 2011 chairman, along with the new Board of Directors, on December 14, 2010.

Dec. 3, 2010 - PRLog -- THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS.  (Dec 01, 2010) The Montgomery County Hispanic Chamber will formally announce Miguel Lopez as their newly elected 2011 chairman, along with the new Board of Directors at their end of year luncheon on Tuesday, December 14, 2010.

Incoming Chairman Miguel Lopez has been a resident of The Woodlands since 1995. Born in Mexico, he moved to Texas as an infant, and later graduated from Humble High School. He went on to serve four years in the United States Marine Corps as a machine gunner in an infantry unit and was honorably discharged in 1990. He then attended Sam Houston State University, graduating in 1995 with a degree in criminal justice. Miguel is a director with BANDIER Realty Partners, Inc. where he focuses on corporate advisory and servicing new and existing banking relationships. He has been actively involved in the community, and has served on a number of organizations such as The Woodlands Lions Club, the City of Shenandoah Industrial Development Corporation Board, the Community Clinic, Montgomery County March of Dimes, South Montgomery County Woodlands Chamber of Commerce, Education for Tomorrow Alliance (EfTA), the Junior League and the Entergy Advisory Board. He attends St. Simon and Jude Catholic Church in The Woodlands.

The three incoming board members are Mr. Garry Watts, Mayor, City of Shenandoah; Mr. David Matos, Matos CPA, LLC; and Mr. Joe Griffin, The Strong Firm, P.C.  Those remaining on the board for 2011 include: Adriana Valencia, immediate past chair - Investment Professionals Inc.; Donna Rodriguez, Donna L. Rodriguez, PLLC; Rose Garza, Community Insurance Agency - Kenny Speight Insurance; Becky Gustamante, Lone Star College - Montgomery; Mike Shinn, Learning Express; Oscar Cruz-Betancourt, DAOS Business Services.

Established in 2003, the Montgomery County Hispanic Chamber is a 501(c)6 organization managed by a volunteer board and officers. The Hispanic Chamber has no membership criteria regarding ethnic background, size of business or language requirements.  Everyone with an interest in supporting or developing relationships within the Hispanic business community in Montgomery County is welcome to join.  For more details, visit www.mchchamber.org.  

The luncheon at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., will be sponsored by BANDIER Realty Partners, Inc. This will be a festive occasion to meet the board members and share tidings of the season. The cost of the luncheon is $30 for members and $35 for nonmembers.
