Follow on Google News | ![]() TMI alum earns college soccer honorCheyenne Mangold , a 2010 graduate of TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas, was recognized one of the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Players of the Week for the week.
Mangold plays soccer at Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, Pa. A midfielder , she claimed offensive honors from the conference, which represents 11 schools in Pennsylvania, Kentucky and West Virginia. Her team won its division championship and will compete in the NCAA Division III playoffs. As a defender on the varsity women’s soccer team at TMI, Mangold was named last spring to two honor teams for the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS), making the first team, all-district (TAPPS II, District 3); and second team, all-state. She also won first-place awards in the TAPPS district and state track championships and was one of only nine TMI graduating seniors to receive an Elite 8 Award for earning at least eight varsity letters through their high-school careers. # # # Founded in 1893, TMI is a private, co-educational, college-preparatory school for grades 6-12, with optional Junior ROTC and boarding programs.
