Jesse Eisenberg, Joycelyn Engle, Whoopi Goldberg And Harvey Kreuger Honored At Children At Heart

Nov. 27, 2010 - PRLog -- Stars came out on November 22 for the annual Children at Heart Celebrity Auction and Gala Dinner to benefit the Children of Chernobyl. This evening of A-List movie stars, other celebs and the "beautiful people" is held each year at Pier Sixty in Manhattan to benefit the Children of Chernobyl. Over two million dollars was raised for this worthy cause.

Stars in attendance included Jesse Eisenberg, Whoopi Goldberg, Julianne Michelle, Steven Bauer, Jon Voight, figure skating Champion Oksana Baiul, TV and Broadway stars and producers, football, hockey and basketball names and the list goes on.

The Humanitarian Award went to Harvey Kreuger. The Lifetime Achievement Award went to Joycelyn Engle for her work in the entertainment industry and 16 years of fund raising for the Children of Chernobyl. Whoopi Goldberg received the Children at Heart Award and Jesse Eisenberg was the star honoree for the event.  

It is a very small world. Eisenberg's sister Hallie Kate Eisenberg and his mom were guests of Joycelyn Engle at this event seven years ago, and this year both Jesse and Joycelyn were honored. Harvey Kreuger was Chairman of the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Museum and Engle and her husband Joseph Di Palma have The Di Palma Center for the Study of Jewelry and Precious Metals at the museum.

Steven Spielberg is Chairman and his sister Nancy Spielberg is Tribute Chair for Children at Heart.
