Teranex’s Phase VIII Release adds 3D Capability to VC100

This latest version includes Teranex’s innovative 3D applications, like the highly anticipated 2D to 3D conversion application, VC1-2D-3D, and 3D Encoding and Decoding capability with the VC1-3D-ENCand VC1-3D-DEC applications.
The new capability enables dual channel VC100 customers to transition from 2D to 3D by converting existing 2D(SD or HD) content into 3D. The software release combines all the features of the VC100’s universal frame synchronizer and format converter with more than 250 format and frame rate conversions, as well as theconversion of 2D content into 3D, in a single conversion process.
The advanced stereoscopic processing of the VC1-2D-3D application allows for the creation of 3D programmingfrom 2D content in real time. This exceptional technology gives professionals the ability to convert live or recorded 2D content for 3D distribution, or mix 2D archives with 3D production to create seamless 3D content. It also enables producers and broadcasters to repurpose existing 2D content and deliver 3D programming. Theapplication also offers the ability to add digital file logos to simulated 3D content, with horizontal, vertical anddepth position adjustments.. When combined with the VC1-3D-ENC application, broadcasters can even send 3D content over existing 1.485Gbs broadcasting infrastructure.
