Survey Shows Strong Results for Toothpaste Direct Marketing

Nov. 12, 2010 - PRLog -- Winter Park, FL – At fifty-one select drug stores across the country, demonstrators worked to increase product awareness for one of Colgate’s established products, Colgate Total.
Although Colgate Total is already a Colgate-Palmolive bestseller, the survey results from this event revealed great opportunity. Out of the 360 people surveyed, 24% had not tried the product before, and 57% said they would purchase at a later date after they tried the product. Customers were given a large sample of Colgate Total to take home. In addition, 177 store associates were trained on product features and benefits. Colgate Total differentiates itself by being the only toothpaste with an antibacterial ingredient which adheres to teeth for twelve hours and does not wash away with food or drink. There are 7 products in the Colgate line: Clean Mint, Enamel Strength, Advanced Whitening, Advanced Clean, Advanced Fresh, Whitening, and Mint Stripe. The event was promoted in stores on online sites such as freebeautyevents.com.
