AVR's Director of Engineering receives top design certification. AVR is proud to announce its Director of Engineering, Jim Mauger recently passed InfoComm's comprehensive CTS-D examination.
 
Nov. 9, 2010 - PRLog -- AVR is proud to announce that Jim Mauger, our Director of Engineering has received the highest certification in the AV industry; Certified Technology Specialist – Design (CTS-D).  Jim is one of less than 500 individuals worldwide with this designation and one of only five in Arizona.

With this certification, Jim has demonstrated a detailed understanding and ability to design and document robust audio visual systems for clients, based on a thorough analysis and planning to meet their needs.

About InfoComm’s Certified Technology Specialist Certifications

InfoComm certification programs are designed to establish and maintain widespread credibility for the audiovisual industry and the professionals who perform the work. InfoComm has offered its certification program for more than 30 years and every year certifies more qualified AV professionals than anyone else in the industry.

CTS-D certification requirements include a minimum two year’s audiovisual design experience, valid CTS certification, referrals and agreement to abide by the CTS Code of Ethics and Conduct. Once accepted, the CTS-D candidate must pass a three hour exam that tests the candidate’s knowledge through theoretical and practical competencies.
InfoComm’s Certified Technology Specialist (CTS), CTS–Design and CTS–Installation are the only AV credentials to achieve accreditation through the International Organization of Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) ISO/IEC 17024 certification of personnel as administered in the United States by ANSI.
