UHY Advisors Atlanta Gives Back by Supporting CHRIS Kids, Local Org Helping Atlanta Children in Need

Nov. 4, 2010 - PRLog -- ATLANTA – UHY Advisors Atlanta, a top financial, tax and business consulting firm, is proud to commemorate a decade of its company’s success with UHY Cares Day, a day dedicated to giving back to the community.  On Oct. 22, UHY Advisors Atlanta helped locally-based CHRIS Kids, a non-profit organization that provides leadership for the community in the areas of child welfare and mental health.  The non-profit was founded to heal children, strengthen families and build community, so local UHY Advisors’ staff took time away from their daily jobs, closed the office, and spent the afternoon with CHRIS Kids.  

This inaugural event was designed as a national day of service for the entire UHY Advisors team across the country, bringing the firm together and giving back something of value to all its local communities.

Employees baked cookies and other treats in their own homes earlier in the week, and then on Friday delivered the baked goods to various CHRIS Kids homes around metro Atlanta. They kicked off their service by visiting the CHRIS Kids headquarters, where employees learned about the organization and different ways to get involved.  The UHY Advisors team then split up into groups to visit multiple homes throughout the area and deliver the baked goods.  

The 10 year anniversary is part of the UHY-US Heritage Celebration 2010 - A Decade of Growing the UHY Family, which recognizes the combined talents of more than 1,000 UHY-US professionals across the country. Accounting Today ranks UHY Advisors as one of the Top 20 professional services firms in the country, and the Atlanta Business Chronicle recently ranked UHY Advisors Atlanta among the city’s Top 25 Accounting Firms.  

The Atlanta office in particular is seeing strong growth, and has recently launched two new practice areas, Management Consulting and Tax Services. It has also added six executives to its Atlanta-based team.  Clients have responded well to the new practices and the office expects to grow these new areas as well as focus on expanding the firm’s audit, attest and tax services.  

Associates from Albany, NY; Atlanta; Chicago; Columbia, MD; Dallas; Houston; New York; Oakland, NJ; St. Louis; Sterling Heights, MI; Washington, D.C.; and White Plains, NY also participated in a day of service.
