Compare Nokia C5 03 Review - Symbian OS

Nov. 4, 2010 - PRLog -- Nokia seems to be getting complicated in terms of its model numberings. The latest entry C5 03 proves the fact perfectly. However, this is the latest edition of the C series handsets by the Finnish company and the expected release period of the device is this year-end.  This is a Symbian^1 touch phone, which is bound to raise many eyebrows because it the time of IOS4, Android Froyo and WP7 operating systems. However, it seems that Nokia wants to keep the price tag affordable and hence offering a backdated OS.

However, the phone looks cool and it is easy to carry. It weighs just 93 grams and its dimensions are 105.8 x 51 x 13.8 mm, which shows the pocketable factor of the device. The display of the mobile phone features a 3.2 inches touch screen, which is TFT resistive. Most of the latest touch screen mobiles are coming up with AMOLED or at least capacitive touch screen. Therefore, resistive factor is another back dated input in Nokia C5 03. However, the resolution of the display is 360 x 640 pixels and it provides 16 million colours. Other highlights of the display include accelerometer sensor for auto rotate, proximity sensor for auto turn off, and handwriting recognition.

The latest Nokia C5 03 includes a 5 mega pixel camera with a fixed focus. The absence of flash in the snapper means one cannot take good quality images when the light conditions are poor. However, the resolution of the images is 2592 x 1944 pixels, and it includes geo tagging as well. Do not expect much in terms of video recording as well as the camera can shoot videos at VGA@15fps. The non availability of the secondary camera means video calling cannot be performed with C5 03. Apart from the camera, the other multimedia features include a music player that can play MP3/ WAV/ еAAC+/ WMA files, and a video playback that can play MP4/ H.263/ H.264/ WMV files.

The storage capacity of C5 03 includes a 40 MB internal memory and includes a 2 GB memory card, which is to be used by inserting in the microSD card slot. The memory of the handset can be enhanced and the maximum capacity is 16 GB.
There are several other prominent highlights of the Nokia C5 03 such as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, 3G, Stereo FM radio, A-GPS support; Nokia Maps, Flash Lite 3.0, and TV-out.
