Oct. 27, 2010 - PRLog -- IBS Software has announced that All Nippon Airways (ANA), largest domestic carrier and top 10 carriers in the world by IATA rankings, has moved over to iCargo to manage its entire cargo movement including all international commercial cargo operations and the import ground handling operations at five major airports in Japan including automated Nippon Automated Cargo Clearance System (NACCS) interfaces. Ground handling system for import is now in production in Japanese and English languages.  This is the single largest implementation for IBS’ iCargo till date spanning a period of nearly three years.  The transition from the airline’s legacy systems to next generation iCargo was successfully completed on schedule – an outstanding achievement for any IT project of this size and magnitude. The system is fully J-SOX compliant (a new legislative framework of "Internal Controls over Financial Reporting" that falls within the scope of the Japanese Financial Instruments and Exchange Law). The successful cut-over has enabled iCargo to widen its footprint in Japan, a market that has traditionally been dominated by local players, and will go a long way in earning  the solution a pride of place in the world of air cargo business

IBS’ cargo solutions are currently used by over 20 airline customers and is fast emerging as the industry leader in new generation solutions that address all automation needs of freighters and service providers, both large and small, in the areas of  airline cargo management, cargo and mail handling, cargo terminal operation, ULD management, cargo & mail, revenue accounting or cargo revenue management.

On the occasion, Mr. Takanori Yukishige, Senior Vice President Information Technology Services, ANA said “Our decision in 2007 to choose iCargo was prompted by our need for a system that would help us address the growing air cargo business around the world and ANA Cargo business plan. After three years we believe it was a right decision and we are happy with iCargo and IBS support in implementing the solution and migrating successfully from legacy applications and helping improve service quality, enhance profitability by optimizing capacity utilization, we look forward to iCargo adopting to the future requirements of the industry as we move forward to have a good long term relationship”.

“The successful cut over at ANA is a great achievement that underscores the capability and values our iCargo solution suite offers as well as IBS’ ability to carry out such large implementations.  The smooth transition from well established legacy systems to iCargo would not have been possible without great team work between ANA and IBS. This is a landmark moment in the journey of iCargo towards a leadership position in the industry and a re-inforcement of our outstanding implementation capabilities” said VK Mathews, Chairman and CEO, IBS Group
