Oct. 22, 2010 - PRLog -- Don't have plans Friday night? Partake in Poricy Park's happening Halloween Hulla"boo"loo.  Kids can dress up to compete in the costume contest (starts at 5:00 PM), or enter a scarecrow building competition (They: provide hay bale and wooden posts. You: bring your own scarecrow's attire).

Or get creative Friday afternoon. Paint or carve a pumpkin and drop it off to be judged in the pumpkin decorating contest at 5:00 PM. (Winners will be announced at 7:00 PM.)

The highlight event is the Mad Science show, which begins at 6:00 PM. Spooky demonstrations will amaze kids, and include a melting witch and engulfing the audience in fog.

Every age will enjoy the haunted hayrides, which will scare from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. ( Beware of what lurks on Poricy Park's scenic autumn trails. )  And don't forget to ask for a treat. Candy will be given out by the barn.

There's not a cloud in the sky, but just in case, rain won't put a damper on this Hullabaloo. It'll be moved inside to the Middletown Arts Center.  The event, hosted by Poricy Park and Middletown, is free — other than a $5 entry fee for the scarecrow building contest.
