New Assessment Tool, Business Measures & Indicators (BMI) Gauges Business Health

BMI for business measures business health.

Oct. 22, 2010 - PRLog -- For years, individuals have had a way to measure their potential for health risk using a simple formula called the Body Mass Index (BMI). Now there’s a tool for business. And it’s FREE.

The Business Measures & Indicators (BMI) is a simple assessment that allow businesses to take a look at their current situation and gauge how healthy their business appears. The BMI measures three areas which can significantly impact small businesses: strategic planning/business development, marketing and communications, and operations. Each category has 10 statements that may or may not apply to the user’s business. Based on the total score businesses are able to get an idea of the health of their business.

The BMI assessment was designed by Sheronde Glover, founder and CEO of The Business Practitioner.  “I wanted to create a simple tool that would allow businesses to take a look at where they are, begin to understand more clearly their “next level” and then position themselves to build strategies that will allow them to get closer to their vision”. This tool has been an eye opener for those that have taken it. The assessment is not designed to accurately predict success or failure of a business, but more so as a check-up to see where the business is and what they can do to improve the health of their company”, Glover adds.

The assessment is FREE for small business owners and includes general results and a free consultation to discuss results for those that are interested. Individuals that want to take the BMI and learn more about the health of their business can visit http://www.thebusinesspractitioner.com.
