Jason Gregory for MO State Rep Airs TV Ad: “Pat for Porn?”

Oct. 19, 2010 - PRLog -- Hours before his debate with Democratic opponent Pat Conway, Jason Gregory, the GOP MO State Rep candidate for the 27th district, released a new ad informing voters in St. Joseph that his opponent embarrassed the community by voting to support pornography over children and public health.  Conway’s NO vote to MO Senate Bill 586 (MO SB 586) was a YES vote to perversion.

Jason Gregory summarized the bill by saying:
“It’s shocking, but here are the main points of this Senate Bill:

   * Pat voted YES to allowing strip clubs to be opened next to preschools and day cares.
   * Pat voted YES to allowing minors to get into XXX-rated sex shops.
   * Pat voted YES to allowing teenage girls to perform erotic dances totally nude.”

Conway’s MO SB 586 wishes were denied, due to an overwhelming bipartisan effort with over 80% legislators voting to put it into law on August 28th, 2010.  Ironically, St. Joseph was the first city to enforce and prosecute the new law when the Blondie’s strip club next to the YMCA was recently shut down for allegedly violating certain aspects of the new law.  

Gregory added, “I’m glad Pat’s vote for porn did not win the day. I think parents will be relieved as they will no longer have to explain to their day care-aged children what the “hot pink” building was as they walk into the Y.”

After learning of Mr. Conway’s vote on this bill, many voters want to know why he voted for perversion over decency.  The ad proclaims that that the only group that is for sure pleased with his vote are pornographers themselves.
