The Scarborough Hospital Selects Access Intelligent Forms Suite to Complement MEDITECH Magic

Oct. 19, 2010 - PRLog -- The Scarborough Hospital (TSH), a two-site, full-service acute and ambulatory care organization in eastern Toronto, Canada, has chosen Access Intelligent Forms Suite to improve its forms management process.

One of the reasons TSH selected Access IFS is the facility’s intention to deploy Hyland Software’s OnBase enterprise content management (ECM) system at its two facilities. By printing forms on demand with barcodes, Access IFS will facilitate auto-indexing of patient forms with electronic health records in OnBase through native integration. This will eliminate the need for time-consuming and error-prone manual data entry that is typically required without such barcoding.

Access IFS’s seamless integration with TSH’s MEDITECH Magic system will also pre-fill patient demographics on registration and clinical forms – helping patients avoid redundant effort. As only authorized forms versions will be in circulation, potential version control issues will be avoided. In addition,  Access IFS will enable TSH to eliminate the costs of pre-printed forms.
