Lear Werts LLP files sexual harassment lawsuit in Boone County, Missouri

Oct. 18, 2010 - PRLog -- Lear Werts LLP filed a lawsuit on October 18, 2010 against a temporary staffing agency and its owner seeking to recover damages sustained by a former employee of the company who was subjected to sexual harassment.

The lawsuit alleges that during the plaintiff’s tenure as an employee of the defendants, she was subjected to unwelcome sexual harassment consisting of repeated verbal statements made by the owner of the company as well as inappropriate and offensive touching.  The plaintiff in the case alleges that she frequently asked the company’s owner to stop his unwelcome statements and conduct, but the harassment continued until the plaintiff was forced to resign her position with the company.  Lear Werts LLP is seeking compensatory and punitive damages on behalf of the plaintiff.
