Michael Farr Joins News Broadcast Network

Sept. 28, 2010 - PRLog -- News Broadcast Network, the country’s largest independent broadcast video services company, announced today that former On The Scene Productions (OTSP) NYC GM and Senior Video Producer Michael Farr has agreed to join NBN in the newly created position of Executive Producer for Video Projects.

In his new role at NBN, Farr will move to enhance NBN’s position as the premier Broadcast Services Company in the fast growing areas of Event Production, Satellite / Internet Media Tours, Webcasts, and New Media Viral Video production and distribution.  He will continue to work with his existing clients and will bring a dynamic presence to NBN’s Media Tour and Production teams.

Farr also noted that NBN’s experience with its video sharing and press kit platform as well as its pioneering efforts in creating new and social media PR services would give him the best opportunity to help his clients blend their broadcast and new media efforts. “NBN offers a range of skills and facilities that is creating a new standard for NYC video clients and I’m excited about the chance to be part of this development,” Farr said.

Michael Farr’s career in production began shortly after his graduation from the University of Miami and quickly grew into producing over 2000 hours of prime time television programming including variety, comedy, and game shows for domestic and international television markets. In 1991 he joined OTSP to become the company’s leading producer working on a variety of high profile projects including live concerts, red carpet events, and corporate conferences, quickly becoming GM of the New York operation. During his time at OTSP, Michael was a mainstay at the Grammy’s, MTV and VH1 Awards Shows and worked directly with artists such as Prince, Mick Jagger, Green Day, 50 Cent and Brittney Spears, as well as Fortune 500 companies and brands including Nike, Yahoo, American Express, Virgin International, Toys R Us, McDonalds and Sony/BMG.  After the dissolution of OTSP in the fall of 2009, Michael continued to handle projects for many of his OTSP clients as well as a variety of new clients.
