Mingle Media TV to Air New Web Series Square One Addressing Today’s Addiction to Social Media
MMTVN will be Broadcasting a New Drama-Comedy Web Series Focused The Fine Balance of Today’s Relationships as Real and Virtual Social Interactions Have Changed Due to Social Networking Connections From Twitter, Facebook and Texting.
The webseries is created and produced by Limelight19 Entertainment, founded by co-creators Adrianna Merlucci and Bindiya Patel. Both women met at Boston University in 2004, and knew they wanted to create innovative and original cinema. The web series "Square One" strives to reflect upon the growing addiction to be constantly connected to social media. Over-consumption of technology is increasingly leading to the degradation of personal relationships as social network interactions take precedence. At the same time, technology strides are continuing to make us more efficient; the series aims to reveal that balance between technology dependents and their naive counterparts is key. Viewers then start to question their own digital lifestyle in this thought provoking series.
“MMTVN is a lifestyle network of live and unscripted web series with a primarily large female audience,” says Stephanie Piche, founder and CEO of Mingle Media TV. “Not only are our creators predominantly women, they are socially connected to our the online community, so this web series struck a resounding chord with our viewers; and is why we’re pleased to be airing it on our network.”
Mingle Media TV currently produces over 40 hours of live and episodic web TV interactive programming each week. MMTVN's expert content providers create a social Web TV experience from interactions on Twitter and Facebook to live shows where the hosts and audience engage in a real-time conversation on topics they are interested in. Advertisers benefit from an integrated ad approach, sponsoring shows that align with their brand and later become meta-tagged content on the Internet as part of their sponsorship.
