By: Peter CLARKE Further the TTC and Police wages and benefits increased above 3.0000% while the corresponding previous year rate of inflation was of only 0.2989%. All these increases far exceeded Toronto’s actual cost of living rate and have outrageously contributed to our city’s ever increasing fiscal crisis. These wage and benefit increases are not referred to as moderate by the taxpaying public across Toronto including Willowdale ward 23 North York. These increases which far exceeded the cost of living inflation rate have greatly contributed to Toronto’s ever increasing fiscal crisis caused by incumbent councillors support of unsustainable left leaning ideologies of the outgoing mayors administration. After 3 decades of out of control spending by incumbent councillors our new council has to get back on track of being fiscally responsible and far more prudent with the taxpaying public's money. This most likely will call for spending cuts and reallocation of revenues of between 3% to 5% with the 2011 city’s budget process for Toronto to start correcting its current fiscal problems. Peter CLARKE strongly believes that “our city’s problems will get worse unless we have new candidates that understand and acknowledge that to address our fiscal crisis we will have to decrease SPENDING by finding efficiencies, increasing user fees, cuts or elimination of certain programs.” “Suggesting otherwise is a continued attempt to hoodwink the taxpayers of Toronto.” “Toronto One City, Your Vote, Our Future Together on October 25, 2010 with your support throughout the North York Community.” Please visit and review my campaign mission platform @ www.peterclarketoronto.com to assist you with your final choice and vote for councillor in Willowdale ward 23, North York Toronto.
