Using a Dental CBCT Surgical Guide to place and uncover implants, and transfer to the lab

A cone beam based surgical guide has three uses in a two stage implant surgery. Place the implants with perfection, locate and uncover the implants when they are inegrated, then transfer their location to the dental laboratory for restoration.

Sept. 17, 2010 - PRLog -- The surgical guide is used to place the implants and is not thrown-away.
Images of the steps can be viewd at our blog spot: http://dentalimplantplanning.blogspot.com/

When the implants are incovered in a few months, place the surgical guide in the mouth, use a marker, place a dot on the implant site and uncover. When the implants are ready for the final impression, use this same guide to transfer the case to the laboratory as an excellent custom tray. The images are compliments of Dr. Ali Kanawait, Prosthodontist in Cleveland OH.
