Two October Events Support Del Sur Educational Foundation

Sept. 16, 2010 - PRLog -- With a weekly farmers’ market and two major fundraising events next month, the new Del Sur Educational Foundation is continuing to grow. Founded last February, the non-profit organization is dedicated to raising additional funds for Del Sur Elementary School.

Located in the heart of the 1,800-acre Del Sur master-planned community, Del Sur
Elementary is one of two new schools to open in the area in the past two years. Del
Norte High School, located at 16601 Nighthawk Lane, opened in 2009.

Current Del Sur Educational Foundation fundraising efforts include:

Del Sur Farmers’ Market: This ongoing festival of food and family occurs
every Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the corner of Camino del Norte and Lone
Quail Road in San Diego. The event features fresh produce from local farms,
prepackaged food and vendors selling food, flowers, clothes and jewelry. For

Fore The Kids Golf Scramble: Tee time is 1 p.m. on Oct. 8 at The Vineyard in
Escondido. Participants and sponsors are currently needed. Visit the front desk at
Del Sur Elementary School to register.

Rummage Sale: Bargain hunters should arrive at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23 for
the sale on the grounds of Del Sur Elementary School, located at 15665 Paseo Del
Sur in San Diego. Donations are also being accepted October 1, 4 and 6 from 9
a.m.-6 p.m. at the same location. Email questions to DSEvolunteers@gmail.com.

Four new communities are now selling at Del Sur including two neighborhoods by
Shea Homes San Diego, one from Standard Pacific Homes and one from William Lyon
Homes. Twelve model homes are available for viewing. For more information, visit
