FabSuite Announces New Barcode Functionality Integration with P2 Programs

Sept. 16, 2010 - PRLog -- FabSuite - Steel Fabrication Management Software is proud to announce the addition of new barcode functionality that drastically improves the integration between FabSuite and P2 Programs. The new functionality will allow FabSuite users that are utilizing P2 Programs to use a compatible hand-held Mobile Computer to receive material against an open Purchase Order in FabSuite. This also gives users the ability to track inventory material when it is relocated, relieve inventory and track drops, and audit their existing inventory to ensure the highest level of accuracy in FabSuite.

When inventory is relieved, the PO # and Heat # of the material used is recorded with the parts that are cut, giving you a high level of traceability without any extra effort.  FabSuite's new Document Index feature will keep track of all Heat Cert documentation.  A single click in FabSuite will give you the Heat Certs for all material used on the job, even if it was originally purchased for a different job. "Keeping inventory software completely accurate is the goal, but manually recording changes will always make that extremely difficult.  The integration between FabSuite and P2 Programs allows you to keep the FabSuite inventory accurate in real-time, and it's as quick and easy as scanning a barcode label", says Adrian Matlack – FabSuite’s Software Development Manager.
