Spitfire Adds Plan Room Functionality to its Construction Project Management Software

Sept. 8, 2010 - PRLog -- Armonk, NY – (September 8, 2010) Spitfire Management LLC announces the inclusion of plan room functionality in its upcoming 4.1 version of Spitfire Project Management System, to be released later this month.

A special Plan Room portal in the Spitfire Project Management System will allow contractors and subcontractors to view, review and download bid packages, plans, drawings, specs, addendums and other bid and RFQ-related files through a web browser, accessible from anywhere.  Such functionality will enable general contractors, designers, and program managers to more easily make bid packages and plans available to any number of contractors.  With fully configurable security controls, the Plan Room may be deployed in either a public or private manner on a project-by-project basis.

“We listened to our clients and determined a real need for a simpler on-line bidding process.  Since our software already provided most of the web-based framework necessary, extending this out into a virtual Plan Room was natural.  The new Plan Room will benefit everyone involved in project bidding,” says Jon Taffler, President of Spitfire Management.
